The Mountain Men Rendezvous

Every year in the 4th of July Parade, there’s a rowdy bunch of old time trappers, and the thundering cracks of their black powder pistols. If you weren’t aware these are the Jed Smith Mountain Men, and they do so much more than just the parade. From primitive camping, to coon skin hats, to hawk and knife throwing the Jed Smith Mountain Men are fun folk to congregate with. They meet at the Rowdy Creek gun club on the last Sunday of every month, and host a larger “Rendezvous” once a year. Learn more in this segment from Redwood Voice’s Ethan Caudill-DeRego.
